Why subscribe?

Thanks for checking out my writing on Substack. My name is Keith Ferguson, and I’m so glad you are here. Jesus invaded my life 25 years ago and forever changed my journey. I love to read, write, hang with my family and friends, discuss baseball, go snow-skiing, talk theology, catalyze church planting, study history, and share a great cup of coffee. My wife says my strongest gift is taking complex ideas and teaching them in clear, simple ways people can understand and apply. I think that’s a compliment. :)

My weekly newsletter is one way to share all the ideas rolling around in my head. I hope they are helpful to you in building a God-centered life that reflects the joy, hope, and love of Christ. The gospel of Jesus is our only hope for eternity and the basis for our daily renewal. I pray my words will take you deeper into loving God and serving others. I am humbled that others would read my writing, and I hope you will leave me a note. Your input makes me a better writer.

As far as my bio, I studied mechanical engineering at Baylor, then completed a Th.M. at Dallas Theological Seminary. After 5 years of youth ministry, I planted Cityview Bible Church in Round Rock, TX in 2007. I currently serve as the lead pastor at Cityview and the board chairman for the Association of Hill Country Churches. But my greatest joy in life is my wife, Barie, and our six awesome children. They are truly a gift from God.
