Key takeaways from the books I read during my study break.

Every spring, the elders of Cityview graciously give me a week away for extended reading, prayer, and planning. I'm so thankful for their support and the space to step back from the normal routines of ministry to listen more closely to God and think deeply about the future. I’m also grateful that Barie encourages me to step away, slow down, and get still with God. I couldn’t do this work without her support and love.

This year during my study break, I read ten books. Some were new to me, and some were old favorites I revisited with fresh eyes. Some were encouraging. Some were challenging. All of them shaped my thinking and stirred my heart. What follows are my notes and reflections on each one.
